Visit the Mozart museum or take a ride in the funicular up to the impressive fortress of Hohensalzburg. In the late afternoon meet up with your guide for the return transfer to Vienna.

One of the best (if not the best) day of our trip to Europe. Private tour to Salzburg and the Lakes in the Mercedes Van (we did the upgrade and were very happy). Absolutely loved this tour. Our tour guide, Flemming, was an encyclopedia of history and Austria. He narrated our tour to Salzburg pointing out interesting places along the way. We stopped at several places along the way to allow us to see some sites. Salzburg was amazing and so was our local guide. Well worth spending a little extra to go with Vienna a la Carte.
Robert was a fantastic tour guide! He arrived early and enthusiastically interacted with our four tired kids. He tailored the Salzburg tour to our wants- stopping to let the kids sample the Lake Mondsee water, showing us all the Sound of Music sights while intertwining history into each stop of the walking tour.
